This weekend we took a morning trip to Williamsburg. Williamsburg is only a 45 minute drive from us. We took a lovely walk from the visitors center to the main part of Williamsburg. Jack and Will had a great time exploring. First they found huge leaves.
Then Will decided to join this nice lady on her jog.
Then Will discovered the rocks.
And the morning turned into Will’s search for the perfect rock. (For those who don’t know Will… he loves rocks. He has a favorite one that he would like to sleep with. But, I’m scared he will break the window that is over the bed with it. So, we made a special rock bed for his favorite rock and we keep it high up in his room. Will tucks his rock in a nap time and bed time, and even gives it a kiss goodnight. What a funny guy!)
The rock search continues…
You have no idea how my rocks I find in our laundry machine (I need to check his pockets now too)
Success! The largest rock in Williamsburg!
Jack said his favorite part of the morning was petting the horses. Will agreed with a, “Me too, Gack.” Gack = Jack in Will’s language.
My favorite part of the morning was when we stumbled upon a lady selling peacock feathers. Will has been saying he wants to be a peacock for Halloween. The boys each picked out a feather, and proudly strutted around Williamsburg with their tails out.
Scratch everything previously stated. Except the being in Richmond for a year. My new goal is more simple... its just us.
